Eddie Tores was born and raised in Costa Rica in the La Fortuna area. He began his journey in tourism when he was only 15 years old. He learned English by selling tours in downtown La Fortuna. From there, he went on to learn to build canopy lines in the mountains of La Fortuna, where he started guiding adventure tours before he was 18. 

He moved to the United States when he was 20 and lived there until he returned to Costa Rica in 2013, where he returned to tourism as an adventure park guide.

In 2022, after much reflection, Eddie decided to start Bright Adventures in honor of his lifelong friend, John Salorio. Abrazos forever!
