Adventure to Natural Wonders on the Pacific Coast


If you are looking for something fun to do during your stay in Manuel Antonio/Quepos, let us take you to some of Costa Rica’s wonders located on the Pacific Coast. This full-day trip to various natural sites will be one of the best things you will do in Costa Rica.

We will start our journey by driving south to our first stop in the town of Portalon, which is home to an amazing waterfall that makes for a good place to plunge into the water from a short distance up.
Once back on the road, the next stop will be in the town of Uvita. Uvita’s waterfall has a natural waterslide making it an unforgettable experience, or you can simply relax and swim in its pristine cooling waters. The next two stops in our journey will take your breath away. In Pavones, we will get to see the tree of life that is hundreds of years old, and a waterfall with a mysterious rock centered above the cascade. The last stop of the excursion will be a natural wonder named Playa Ventanas. This beach got its name from the natural twin caves that connect the beach with the ocean, making it a must-see place in Costa Rica.

To finish the tour, we will stop at the famous Whale’s Tail inside Marino Ballena National Park, where you can walk on the sand bar into the bay and see if you can spot some dolphins or whales.

During the excursion, you will be provided with, waters, snacks, fruits, and lunch from a local Costa Rican restaurant and park entrance to all locations.

What to Expect

The adventure will start with a pick-up at your location, where you will be met by a knowledgeable tour guide who speaks perfect English and has a lot of years of experience in the industry.

 

Portalon – To start our tour, we will do some off-roading inside the rainforest that looks like a scene out of Jurassic Park. Once we have arrived Portalon waterfall, we will enjoy some time jumping off the top of the waterfall or just relaxing by the water.
Uvita waterfall - The Uvita waterfall is one of a kind waterfall due to its natural waterslide formed by thousands of years. Here we can you can slide, swim or simple take pictures of the beauty this place has to offer.


Pavones - During our visit to Pavones we will have opportunity to see the Tree of Life that is known to be a sacred tree by the aboriginal people who lived in the area. After this short stop, we will head out to the next waterfall that holds a mysterious rock on top of the cascade. This place is also great for swimming in front of or behind the waterfall.


Playa Ventanas - This beach has two twin caves that connect the beach to the ocean. This is a memorable experience when you walk inside these caves made naturally by the ocean.


Whale’s Tail - This breathtaking wonder makes the perfect end to our excursion. We will visit the magnificent Whale’s Tail inside Marino Ballena National Park. This park is sanctuary for marine birds, green lizards, monkeys, and dolphins, and it is a prime location for whale spotting during season. The whale’s tail is a coastal bay that allows people to walk over an ocean-covered sandbar onto the tail of the bay.
