We rarely cancel tours unless there is a severe weather event that could compromise the safety of our guests and staff.

In the event of severe weather, such as a tropical storm or hurricane, where there is a significant risk to safety, we will make the decision to cancel the tour. While we understand cancellations can be disappointing, the safety and well-being of everyone involved remain our utmost concern. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in these situations, and we always aim to reschedule or provide refunds whenever possible. On the pacific coast of Costa Rica, the weather varies depending on the season, offering unique experiences throughout the year.

During the dry season, which typically runs from December to April, you can expect warm, sunny days with minimal rainfall. This is an ideal time for outdoor activities such as hiking, beach excursions, and exploring the lush rainforests surrounding Quepos. On the other hand, the rainy season in Manuel Antonio/Quepos spans from May to November. During this time, you can anticipate more frequent rainfall, often in the form of afternoon showers or occasional thunderstorms. While the rainforest becomes even more vibrant and lush during this period, it’s important to be prepared for wet weather and plan activities accordingly. Swimsuit: Don’t forget to pack your swimsuit or simply wear it for pickup. You can also bring a change of clothes or a cover-up, but that is optional. 

Shoes that can get wet: Opt for comfortable water shoes or sandals that can handle getting wet. These will be perfect for navigating rocky shores, wading through the waterfall pools, or exploring muddy trails without worrying about ruining your footwear. Plus, they’ll keep your feet comfortable and protected throughout the day.

Sunscreen: Protect your skin from the sun’s rays by packing a high-quality sunscreen with a broad spectrum SPF. Apply liberally before heading out on your tour, and remember to reapply throughout the day, especially after swimming or sweating. The intensity of the sun here in Costa Rica can sometimes take people by surprise, so sun protection is key to enjoying your outdoor adventures, and your entire vacation while keeping your skin healthy. 

Towel: A lightweight and quick-drying towel is essential for drying off after our various stops. Consider packing a compact travel towel that won’t take up much space in your bag but will still provide ample coverage when needed.

Bug spray (Optional): Depending on the location and time of year, you may encounter insects during your tour. Consider bringing along a bottle of insect repellent to ward off any unwanted bites. Look for a formula that is effective against mosquitoes and other pests.

Transportation from any hotel or rental house in Quepos or Manuel Antonio is included in all our experiences. If you’re staying outside of this area, transportation isn’t provided as standard, but we’re more than happy to help arrange it for you for an extra fee. Our experiences tend to fill up quickly, especially during high seasons, so booking in advance ensures that you won’t miss out on the adventure. Additionally, by booking ahead, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that everything is arranged for your convenience.

While we strive to accommodate last-minute requests whenever possible, it’s important to note that availability may be limited due to demand. Therefore, to guarantee your preferred date and time, it’s best to book in advance. However, if space allows, we’ll do our best to accommodate any last-minute requests.

We have a cancellation policy in place to ensure fairness for all our guests and to help us manage our tours effectively. Here’s how it works:

• Reservations can be canceled up to 48 hours prior to the departure time for a full refund.
• Cancellations made between 48 and 24 hours before the departure time will incur a 50% penalty.
• Cancellations received within 24 hours of the departure time are subject to a 100% penalty.
• No-shows will be charged the full amount.

We understand that plans can change unexpectedly, which is why we offer a window for cancellations with varying penalties based on the timing. This policy allows us to accommodate other guests who may be interested in the tour and helps us maintain the quality of our services.
